Description

Spent Mushroom Compost: Bulk Bag

Composts are a great soil improver acting as a natural fertilizer & pesticide whilst also being excellent for breaking up heavy clay soils as well as mulching beds and borders.

This popular compost is well rotted Mushroom Compost, which is ideal for flowerbeds and vegetable gardens as well as for planting roses, trees and shrubs.

A tried and tested fibrous mulch and soil conditioner originating from local mushroom farms, our Spent Mushroom Compost is produced from a mix of peat and well rotted straw with chicken and horse manure added.

This product is fantastic for breaking up heavy clay soils as the high lime content helps break down the clay particles whilst the manure breaks down more slowly making it a perfect mulch for flower borders and vegetable beds and particularly where roses and shrubs are to be planted.

Please note:

Using mushroom compost will increase the PH of your soil immediately after use, neutralising over a short period of time.

  • Supplied in 1.2 cubic metre (m3) bulk bags
  • Approximate weight: 0.5 ton

Please note that this product is accurately weighed at the time of filling the bags, however settling can take place during transit, due to dampness etc. The weight can also vary due to moisture content & loss of product can occur during transit.
