The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to be a major part of the growth of our online business, within a consistently successful, growing company.

You will be based at our Redhill, Surrey, RH1 branch and will report to the Ecommerce Manager.

Your main role will be to pick and pack online orders for despatch via parcel and pallet couriers, and you will also be responsible for keeping the warehouse tidy and putting stock away.

There is scope for development for the right candidate to potentially carry out administration on our Sage 200 system.

The role will be a core part of a small and close-knit team, and is essential to support the continued growth of our online business.

You will be responsible for the picking, packing and administration of our internet orders, ensuring we provide a consistently great customer experience and service.

Ideally you will have:

  • Previous experience of working for a Construction Materials Supplier such as a Roofing, Builders or Plumbers Merchant, and / or an interest in the kinds of products we sell.
  • Experience of working in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • Experience in picking and packing orders.
  • Experience in using computer systems for data entry.
  • A full UK driving licence.

You must:

  • Be committed and reliable – you will be depended upon as a key member of our online team
  • Have a stable working history - we will be taking up references
  • Have a genuine passion for customer service and a very good understanding of the requirements of our customers in order to provide great service – picking and packing orders correctly is important.
  • Be self motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, proactive and versatile with a strong character and excellent interpersonal skills in order to succeed in the position.
  • Be able to follow instructions.
  • Be comfortable working on your own, and as part of a team.
  • Have an exceptional attention to detail, commercial awareness and experience in working in a fast paced environment
  • Have an enthusiastic, positive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
  • Be able to reliably commute to our Redhill, Surrey, RH1 branch where you will be based.

  • Picking and packing order using documentation generated by a computer system.
  • Tidy and maintain your working area
  • Follow company procedures and policies at all times
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills

Salary:

  • From £20,000.00 per year

We are looking for hard working yard / warehouse operatives to join our busy team at our branches in Redhill, Surrey, RH1; Dorking, Surrey, RH4, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 & Esher Surrey, KT10.

Office Junior / Administrator:Dorking, Surrey, RH4

About Roofing Supplies are the leading family owned, independent roofing and building materials supplier in the South East.

We pride ourselves on our customer service, experienced staff and large stocks, providing a personal, "small company" approach with the professionalism and service that one expects of a large company.

We are looking for an Office Junior / Administrator to join our Accounts team, based in Dorking, Surrey, RH4.

This is a newly created position, and will be ideal for a university or college graduate.

The successful applicant will be involved in most aspects of the department, for which appropriate training will be provided.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing business, with genuine scope for progression within the department, and wider company, as we promote from within wherever possible.

Your duties will include:

  • Filing invoices, statements etc
  • Answering and directing phone calls and emails from staff, suppliers and customers
  • Following up outstanding payments with customers
  • Preparing cash to be paid into the bank
  • Matching invoices and delivery notes from suppliers and business partners
  • Data entry onto our Sage 200 system (for which full training will be provided)
  • Contacting customers and suppliers regarding pricing queries
  • Basic reconciling of accounts
  • Processing payments to suppliers

Ideally you will have:

  • Relevant experience of working in a similar fast paced office environment
  • Ambition to start a career in Accounts or Office Administration
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word
