Kima Inside / Out Roof Space & Loft Felt Vent

The Kima Inside / Out Vent is a new and innovative felt vent which aims to tackle condensation build up in your loft space by encouraging airflow.

These vents are easily fitted by one person from inside the loft space avoiding the removal or replacement of the underlay membrane. This is a major advantage for the property owner as it is difficult and expensive to retrofit ventilation in a roof space once the roof tiles or slates have been laid.

As each vent features the innovative 'Snap-Lock' system, installation only takes minutes, making the Inside/Out Vent an easy-to-install product for home owners, DIYers and roofing / building contractors.

The Inside / Out vent is made from polypropylene, making it very lightweight and flexible. The vent is also tough and durable, with a long service life in your roof.

The Inside/Out Vent works with any type of breathable or non-breathable roofing underlay or membrane from 0.2mm -25mm thick, and is installed from the inside of the property.

Ideal for single renovations or multiple housing refurbishments, a major advantage of these vents is that they can be retrofitted to existing roofs from inside the loft space in minutes, obviating the need for scaffolding, external works or the removal of linings and underlays, benefits that combine to save money, time and effort.

With a venting area of 56cm2 per vent, these vents can be installed to achieve the required Building Regulations of 5mm continuous ventilation at the ridge. By simply installing one Kima vent per pitch truss next to a rafter, two tile battens down from the ridge, on either side of the ridge achieves this.
