Details

ALM Code 3 Milled Lead Roll - 150mm / 6 inch x 3m / 6m is a lightweight milled lead sheet commonly used for roofing soakers, window flashings and small lead weathering details.

Code 3 lead is easy to dress and shape, making it suitable for applications where a thinner, more flexible grade of lead is required. It is commonly used with tiles and slates for soaker details, as well as for smaller flashings and general pitched roofing work where Code 3 lead is appropriate.

Best for

  • Tile and slate soakers
  • Window flashings
  • Small pitched roof weathering details
  • Roofers needing a narrow 150mm / 6 inch Code 3 lead roll

Things to consider before buying

  • Code 3 lead is generally used for lighter applications such as soakers and smaller flashings.
  • For heavier-duty flashings, chimneys, valleys, gutters, flat roofing or parapet work, a higher code such as Code 4 or Code 5 may be more suitable.
  • Lead sheet should be installed in accordance with recognised leadwork guidance, including correct laps, fixings and allowance for thermal movement.
  • Patination oil is usually recommended after installation to help reduce staining.
