Klober Permo Extreme RS SK2 Impermeable Low Pitch Roof Underlay 50mtr x 1.5mtr
Permo Extreme RS SK2 is a tear-resistant underlay suitable for use on low roof pitches, with two factory fitted self-adhesive strips which provide a permanent seal of overlaps and immediate weatherproofing protection against wind, rain and snow.
Klober accessories such as Klober Butylon tape & Klober Pasto Sealant are available to enable sealing and lapping of this product at low pitches and / or in challenging applications.
Suitable for:
- Minimum roof pitch of 12.5 degrees for profiled tiles, 15 degrees for slates and 22.5 degrees for plain tiles.
- Can be deemed as a primary barrier as long as the Permo Extreme RS SK2 is covered by UV protected layer eg tiles, slates, etc.
- Permo Extreme RS SK2 is vapour permeable however under BS5250 is classed as a HR underlay so requires ventilation
- Klober Butylon tape (available separately) is used in conjunction with this product to seal any nail penetrations
- Head lap of the membrane is 100mm allowing the two factory fitted adhesive strips to meet, meaning that there is no need for any other adhesives or lap tapes.

Fixing
Installation:
- Lay the Klober Permo Extreme RS SK2 with a maximum drape of 10mm – 15mm between the rafters (as an unsupported underlay should provide a drape between the rafters sufficient enough to ensure that any water will run away from the batten fixing nail penetrations at the rafters, allowing the water to drain to the eaves gutter).
- The head lap of the membrane needs to be 100mm when laid to comply with BS5534, and so that the two factory fitted adhesive strips will meet, therefore there is no need for any other adhesives or lap tapes.
- Contact between the membrane and the roof covering should be avoided during and after installation.
- Klober Permo Extreme RS SK2 Butylon Sealing Tape 20mm x 25mtr (available separately) should be laid underneath where the counter battens are due to be fixed to seal around any nail penetrations.
Accessories (available separately):
- Klober Butylon Tape (25mm x 25mtr): For sealing nail punctures between the roof batten and Permo Extreme RS SK2 membrane & for sealing laps below 15 degrees,
- Klober Pasto Sealant (310ml cartridge): For sealing joints against walls eg: abutments.
