Description
Decking Sealer 5 litre
Cromar Decking Sealer is a quality clear sealer formulated to provide an effective water repellent barrier for the protection of timber decking.
Cromar Decking Sealer will waterproof and protect any smooth or ridged, hardwood or softwood decking timber including pressure treated, pretreated or preservative impregnated timber & helps to prevent drying, wetting, swelling, splitting and cracking of the timber, but still allowing the surface to breathe and moisture inside the wood to evaporate.
Coverage:
- Coverage will vary dependent upon the properties of the substrate, but a guideline coverage will be 6-8m/2 per litre.

Drying Time + -
- The drying time will vary depending on the ambient temperature, climate conditions and porosity of the timber, but an average would be approximately 24 hours.

- Approx 12 months if stored correctly
Cleaning Of Tools + -
- Brushes etc. can be cleaned using White Spirit. Remove as much Decking Sealer as possible before cleaning.

Fixing
Application:
- Ensure that the decking timbers are completely dry and free from any dust, dirt, lichen, oil etc prior to application
- Remove all existing loose and flaking stains
- Do not use detergents to clean down the substrate
- A test patch is always recommended, prior to use to ensure desired result is achieved
- Do not apply in wet conditions or if rain or frost is likely before the product is completely dry
- Pour Decking Sealer into a suitable container
- Apply liberally 2 coats leaving 24 hours between coats using a brush, roller or low pressure spray
- Very porous timber may require a third coat
- On horizontal timber decking remove puddling by redistributing to dry areas after 15 minutes
- Do not spray on any form of vegetation, protect plants and surrounding areas from overspray
- Ensure adequate ventilation when applying Decking Sealer
- Should be applied at temperatures above 5 degrees c
