9mm Capping Board uPVC 300mm x 5 Metre White / Black / Anthracite Grey / Rosewood The 9mm UPVC Capping board is designed to cap over & protect existing fascias, and to also offer a clean finish that represents traditional fascia. In applications where the capping board is being used to replace uPVC 16mm fascia, timber backing boards will have to be used to take the full weight of tiles and the guttering. Made from high quality uPVC, the 9mm Capping Board is weatherproof and UV resistant, meaning it will not discolour over time.

Fixing

  • Before fixing, ensure you had selected the correct profile and that the capping board WILL NOT bear the weight of the eaves course.
  • Fix the capping board to the timber backing board with 2 nails at 600mm rafter centres.
  • Leave an 8mm gap between the boards and ensure a joint trim is used, or the appropriate corner.
  • If needed, fix any fascia vent to the timber back board ONLY.
  • Once the capping board is secured, assemble the guttering system.
