Description
Manthorpe GDRR BL Dry Fix Vented Roll Out Roof Ridge Kit For Concrete Ridge Tiles 6mtr
The Manthorpe GDRR BL 6mtr Roll-Out Dry Ridge System is a mechanically fitted system which securely fixes the standard concrete ridge tiles of a roof, protecting them from wind up-lift and rain penetration.
The system is dry fix, removing the need to use messy and time consuming mortar.
The Manthorpe GDRR Dry Ridge is a mechanically fitted system which securely fixes the ridge tiles on to a roof, protecting them from wind uplift and rain penetration.
The system provides 5000mm/2 ventilation to the roof void, through the vent roll the equivalent to a continuous 5mm gap.
Due to the nature in which the system is fitted, there is no need for mortar, making the job of fixing the ridge quick, easy, and clean, as well as making it possible during frosts and other adverse weather conditions.
The system is compatible with most makes of concrete half round and angled ridge tiles and most slate, flat concrete and profiled tiles.
The system can be fitted to the ridge of any duo pitch roof which has a pitch between 15 and 45 degrees.
A single box of Manthorpe Dry Ridge provides all of the components required for a ridge run of approximately 6 metres in length (excluding the ridge tiles).
The system is compatible with the Manthorpe Smart Verge systems.
Product Details: Ridge Roll:
Supplied in lengths of 6 metres, the Ridge Roll is placed along the length of the ridge prior to the ridge tiles being installed.
The roll is made up of a ventilated membrane with a corrugated aluminium flashing down each edge.
The malleability of the aluminium allows the roll to be shaped to the profile of the roof tiles and is secured in place with a butyl strip already attached to the underside.
When installing, the protective cover must be removed to expose the tacky butyl, which will adhere to the surface of the roof covering when firmly pressed down.
The perforated membrane is designed to provide 5,000mm²/m ventilation, which is the equivalent to a continuous 5mm gap along the ridge.
The Ridge Roll is supplied as part of the Manthorpe GDRR Dry Ridge System.
Product Details: Batten Support Brackets:
The brackets have four different bend points to accommodate a range of roof pitches and tile heights and are designed to hold a single length of 25 x 38mm batten.
One bracket should be placed at the apex of each rafter along the ridge.
The bracket should be secured to the rafter through the nail holes on each of the two legs.
At least two nails should be used on each leg of the bracket, these must be stainless steel annular ring shanked nails at a length of 30mm.
The Batten Support Brackets are supplied as part of the Manthorpe GDRR Dry Ridge System.
Product Details: Ridge Unions:
The Ridge Union sits in the gaps between each of the ridge tiles, holding them in place.
The Ridge Union Body slides onto the end of the ridge tile and is flexible so that it bends to the shape of the tile.
The next ridge tile slots into the other side of the Ridge Union Body and this continues along the full length of the ridge.
Once the ridge tiles are all correctly rested in place, the Ridge Unions are secured by driving the Countersunk Screw, assembled with the Washers and Clamp, through the hole in the top and into the horizontal batten below.
The Countersunk Screws should be tightened down so that the Clamp presses down on the ridge tile securing it in position.
The Ridge Unions are supplied as part of the Manthorpe GDRR Dry Ridge System.
