Description

The Mulligan's Steel Lintel Jig is a brand new product that takes all the hassle out of building on steel lintels!

Invented by a builder with over 30 years of experience in the construction trade - this is a simple to use product that does exactly what it says it does!

Quantity supplied:

1 box containing one pair of jigs - one for each end of the lintel.

What are Lintels?

Lintels are a steel support that is used over windows and doors in houses - they are not visible once the property has been built, but are an essential part of building construction.

Why use the Mulligan's Steel Lintel Jig?

The problem is that when cement is put on the lintel for the blocks or bricks, it won't dry quickly enough because of the steel.

The result: The blocks or bricks will start tipping forward off the lintel, which is not only dangerous, but is also time consuming to rectify and potentially incurs labour & material costs.

How to use the Steel Lintel Jig

The Jig has a slot which allows you to slide the jig on to the lintel.

Set up two (or more) Steel Lintel Jigs on a steel lintel.

You then place a level or straight edge on the top of the jig which provides an edge to hold up the blocks or bricks and stops them tipping over!

Once your soldier course is complete, remove the Mulligan's Steel Lintel Jigs and place your weep holes in the remaining slots.

Why is it called a Jig?

In the building trade, a jig is a tool that makes it easier and faster to do a particular job.

Examples of jigs include: Hinge Jigs, Lock Jigs and now.... the Mulligan's Steel Lintel Jig!

Testimonials:

Don't just take our word for it, here are real life testimonials from contractors:

"Just wanted to let you know that I used the jigs for the first time yesterday over two 3mm openings and I was very impressed with the speed & ease of using them! Several other bricklayers on the site saw me using them and asked me about them as they were so impressed so I told them where I got them from. I think I will be doing all of the soldiers over the door openings now!" Kevin via email - December 2015

"It is a great idea and it will help us bricklayers out there to overcome problems with the soldier course" Joe, MH Bricklaying & Building Services Ltd via email - February 2016
